2019 Asia ECOMM Summit Draws Focus On Bold and Tech Savvy Industries

LBC takes the lead once more at this year’s ASIA ECOMM Summit. This is the second time that LBC Business Solutions is headlining the event, which aims to focus on trends, innovations, and challenges affecting the realm of e-commerce.

This year’s theme, “Fortune Favors the Bold and Tech Savvy”, aims to bring to light efforts that need to be fulfilled by big companies so they can expand their services and find new revenue sources while cutting costs through E-commerce.

The whole day event, happening on June 19 at the Manila Marriott, features a number of industry leaders who will impart their expertise in their respective fields. LBC’s Chief Marketing Officer Javier Mantecon says the Asia ECOMM Summit 2019 is the most relevant venue for big industry leaders of e-commerce to talk about their knowledge and experiences in running their digital platforms, so that other players who are either learning the ropes or completely new to digitization may take inspiration and cope with the challenges that go with it.

He says: “At the end of the day, what’s important is for us to give our thousands of consumers the best services possible by enhancing our e-commerce platforms- and making sure our customers know about it and use it”.

Starfinder Optical Launches A New Fashion-Forward Eyewear

Starfinder Optical, the first Korean concept optical shop in the Philippines, launched a vogue eyewear last January 7, 2019. The innovative eyewear is called Twice—eyeglasses that can give customers prescription and protection in one nifty specs. The company aims to accommodate the practical needs of people who want all the benefits that they can get in an eyewear.

Twice is a dual function eyeglasses that assures protection, style and durability. The eyewear is composed of a nifty frame, graded lenses and an installable sunglasses lens that costs Php 2,290. Customers can just snap on and off the installable sunglasses lens by the help of the frame’s magnetic temples.

Jacob Song, Marketing Manager of Starfinder Optical, stated,

“This innovative eyewear is truly a breakthrough in the optical industry, as it gives comfortability and convenience to customers who want prescription and protection in theirspectacles. The eyewear is perfect anywhere, from indoors to outdoors. It is also very easy to use, because in just one snap, you can install or removetheinstallable sunglasses lens from the main frame of Twice.”

Starfinder Optical is a go-to fashion eyewear shop for people who want to experience the culture of Korea, because not only does the company offer Korean-inspired eyewear, it also showcases its Korean kind of hospitality by giving free eye consultation to its customers. In line with its 11th year of existence, the company opened its 14th branch in Cebu City, which will be the first branch located outside Luzon. Starfinder Optical, the first Korean concept optical shop in the Philippines, opened its doors in Ayala Malls Glorietta 5, Makati City last September 11, 2018. The company considered the needs of fashion and technical eye wear of customers located in the southern part of Metro Manila, especially the people within the financial capital of the Philippines, Makati City. The store showcases a whole new Korean kind of accommodation, ambiance and styles of frames that will make customers stylish and comfortable at the same time.

Envisioning the expansion throughout the Philippines, Jacob Song, Marketing Manager of Starfinder Optical, stated “We want to reach the people within one of the known central business districts in the Philippines, because we want to cater them with stylish and technical glasses that they can use for work and daily basis.”

Last May 15, 2018, the company opened a store in Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City. Continuously expanding in the country, Starfinder Optical will open a branch in Cebu soon, which will be a breakthrough, as it will be the first footprint expansion outside Luzon.

“This is truly a milestone for our company, because in the span of 11 years, we managed to open 13 stores already, extending our arms in different areas of Metro Manila to give fashionable products to our loving customers. Furthermore, this is our first branch in Makati City. After that long hours of planning with the team, months of meetings and brainstorming, I must say that hard work really pays off. The package includes a durable and snazzy frame, and specialized lens. Not only does the company provide extremely durable eye wear, but also the styles of the glasses are likewise highly fashion-forward, which is inspired by Korea’s fashion culture. Song added, “The difference between Starfinder Optical from other eye wear companies is that our eyewear is made from Seoul, Korea, which assures durability and style. We adjusted the price to give back to our loyal customers and to attract more people to avail our eyewear.” Currently, the optical company released limited edition frames and an all new lineup of SoYou eye wear that is affordable and looks both vogue and vibrant.

The company is considered as the first Korean concept optical shop in the Philippines, because of its Korean inspired eyewear and different ambiance offered to the customers. Going back from 2007, the company started as a small brand named SFO Design Lab located at Seohyun Rodeo Street, a popular place in Korea for urban street fashion.

Being known for Korean inspired eyeglasses, one of the most popular frames of the company is called Fino, a round shaped metallic frame, which is well-known in Korea’s fashion industry. Also, Starfinder Optical offers specialized lenses such as BlueCut lens, which can protect people’s eyes from the harmful blue light generated by electronic devices, which can cause eyestrain and headache.
